I established this practice to provide therapeutic interventions for those seeking changes in their lives. I had a near-life experience; on May 17, 2007, I was conducting a nighttime route reconnaissance, and my Humvee hit an improvised explosive device (I.E.D.). That day changed the lives of myself and my four soldiers forever. I was injured with a Traumatic Brain Injury (T.B.I.) with bleeding in my occipital lobe and damage to my corpus callosum. I spent the next two months in a coma. I was in California; I could not do many things. I couldn't even breathe on my own I couldn't eat, drink, sit or stand on my own without assistance. I spent the next several years in rehabilitation, relearning how to walk, talk, and function. I spent months in the hospital attending therapies ranging from physical, speech, and occupational/life skills to talk therapy. I was a stay-at-home dad spending my days with my daughter and watching her learn and grow.
